    Achieving Balance in Life

You live in a world of constant change and fast going days. How do you get balance in your life? There is always a time crunch for everyone who wishes that the days had more than twenty-four hours. Does that sound like you? If you are not careful it can make you physically drained, mentally drained and emotionally drained at the end of the day. If you can find balance in your life, it can make life so much easier. The first thing you need to do is to set priorities each day to begin your day. A coach or mentor will tell you to actually create a “to do” list the night before for the next day. List the first three items on the list as a “must do,” item. Make sure you finish those before you move on to the next.

To create more balance in your life means that you have to set short-term goals, intermediate goals and long-term goals and stick to them. You can always revisit your calls occasionally to make changes. However, for the most part, your life should reflect the goals that you set for yourself. In the meantime, don’t pressure yourself or rush yourself. Be patient if things don’t go exactly according to plan. Just redo everything and allow yourself to see change as good.

Here are some ideas for creating more balance for work and family:

    1. Give yourself space to mess up. Don’t be too hard on yourself. Do what you can for the given day and whatever is left will be done the next day. Do your best always. No one can ask for more. Being a parent is a full time job in itself.
    2. Don’t feel guilty because of what people think. Do whatever it takes to get the job done, but never lose yourself.
    3. Get help when you need it. Don’t try to do everything on your own. Delegate any responsibilities that someone else can do.
    4. Make changes if you have to in order to accommodate new ideas.
    5. Create a team that you can rely on to pick up the slack.
    6. Reduce stress. Go for a walk if you have to. This will help to release stress and give you a better start to your day.
    7. Don’t waste valuable time doing things that are not productive.
    8. Be positive. Focus on the good and not the bad. When you have a good day, make a mental note of it and allow this day to be your premise for creating better days.
    9. Spend time alone with yourself. Treat yourself to a spa treatment, massage or just a movie. Don’t overwork yourself.
    10. Spend time separately with each child if you are a parent and separate time with a spouse or partner. Each person needs his or her own individual time with you to create family balance.

Stay focused and center on who you are and where you are going. Let your time be well spent. Don’t worry about anything that is undone. It will get done. Relax. It is OK to stumble. Be patient with yourself. Everything comes in steps. As long as you are stepping toward something, you sure are going somewhere. Just make sure it is in the path of your goals and aspirations.

A Little Patience Goes a Long Way

This topic is one that applies to relationships BOTH private and business. We all know that relationships can be difficult. One of the best methods we have for making every relationship less stressful and more enjoyable is to show a little patience.  Patience has been defined as what we lack for the driver in front of us and demand from the driver behind us.

In truth, patience is nothing more than time.

Time before we say something: Think of a time when someone was not patient with you when you needed them to be. Think of how you felt. Think of how deeply you might have been hurt. The next time you find yourself losing patience with another, take a moment to remind yourself of how you felt when someone had no patience with you.

Time before moaning and groaning: Patience takes time, but no more time than the showing of anger; of stomping or yelling or whining or complaining. A little patience can often resolve a conflict that a loss of patience will only escalate.

Time to just let things run their course: Arnold H. Glasow said, “The key to everything is patience. You get a chicken by hatching an egg, not by smashing it.” Some things require a certain amount of time. Losing patience only hurts ourselves and won’t speed up the process.

So take the time to smile instead of frown; the time to wink instead of snarl. How much time does it really take to give someone a small nod or a pat on the back? We never stop to think about how a little of our time can make such a big difference in how we make another feel.

Benjamin Franklin said, “He that can have patience can have what he will.”

The lack of patience is the key to so much unhappiness and grief in this world, when all it requires is a little time on our part. One of the simplest ways to build stronger relationships and bring more happiness into our lives is by becoming a little more patient. Showing someone patience is really giving to another that which we wish to receive, while a lack of patience is nothing more than a reflection of ourselves.

How do you think you could have made a difficult situation turn out differently with just a bit more patience? Let me know!

How do you know when it’s time for a change?

This week I’ve been doing some reorganizing in my life. Cleaning up the nest, setting my sites on the future and making plans to go in new directions. One of the things that I’ve done is sent out a new survey to all of my readers asking how I can best help THEM right now. If you haven’t seen it, please go to the Survey now and let me know what’s on your mind. What do you most need from me to get to those dreams you have? Another way that I am opening myself up to change is to offer a Q&A time radio show this week on Blog Talk Radio. Just call me on Thursday 5/21 between 1 and 2pm CST at (347) 327-9393 and I’ll see what I can do to get you on the air with me. What are you struggling with? Is it business? Money? A relationship? Let me know. I want to be sure that I am helping as many of you as I possibly can so, please, help me out by telling me what you need most in your life now.

Thank you – have a GREAT week!

What is an Entrepreneur? Can anyone be one?

Whenever you encounter an unfamiliar word, the first thing that you usually do is look up for its meaning. Do you know the definition of “entrepreneur“? There are many definitions of entrepreneur but sometimes because of the many definitions, you often find it hard to understand even such simple word.

What is an entrepreneur? An entrepreneur is someone who manages and organizes any form of business. In order to understand the definition, you must know about an entrepreneur’s responsibilities. There are many responsibilities but those mentioned in this article are the most important ones.

Some of the responsibilities of an entrepreneur include planning, organizing, staffing, and controlling. These four responsibilities when done properly together will give you high returns in such a short period of time.

In order to do all your responsibilities as an entrepreneur, you must be an excellent communicator. Good communication is needed so that you can deal with all kinds of individuals. If you’re good in communicating, you can convey all your messages correctly, completely, and clearly. This way, everyone will understand what you’re saying. Aside from being a good communicator, you must also be an excellent listener, writer, and reader.

If you want to become a successful entrepreneur, you must be able to do all the responsibilities mentioned earlier. You need to be a good and rational manager. If you can organize your business organization properly, you will not encounter many problems and you will have higher chances of earning big profits.

Now that you know the different responsibilities of an entrepreneur, you can understand what an entrepreneur really is. If you want to become an entrepreneur, you should determine first if you can handle such responsibilities. If you’re not sure, don’t give up, get your self a good business coach and find out how you would do.
